Why subscribe to Wunderkammer?

Wunderkammer is a newsletter that began after a period of loss and has become a home that focuses on essays, poetry and fiction that I’ve used to recover wonder at the state of being alive through art, literature, writing, and musings. It is a space in the world that I’ve carved out to deal with grief and all the accompanies the loss of loved ones.

In the span of a year, I lost both my parents. It’s been a strange time and having this newsletter helps me focus on living through this while connecting with others and focusing on the beauty of being alive.

I have two other sub-newsletters:

  • Dreams from the Dreamworld, where I publish poetry. These are paywalled after several weeks.

  • 21st Century Leviathan, where I am currently publishing a novelette (or micro-novel). All of these chapters are paywalled.

Once you subscribe to Wunderkammer, you’ll automatically receive both of these too. If you do not wish to read fiction or poems, but prefer essays, you can unsubscribe from Dreams and 21st Century Leviathan without unsubscribing to Wunderkammer. If you can’t figure out how, ask me.

Certain items are paywalled for paid subscribers. After a month, all my archives are paywalled. If you love my writing or want to join the Wunderkammer fan club, consider a subscription.

My intention with this Substack is to continue writing in the hopes of making sense of this chaos we call life.

I hope what I write helps others to make some sense of the chaos and to also recover their joy too.

Subscribe to get full access to the newsletter and website.

With gratitude,

Autumn
