Anyway I think you shouldn't despair over AI, because it's doing such a great job of exposing the poverty of pure reason bereft of true perception.
While I agree that AI is dangerous in the manner of nuclear technology, the danger isn't our replacement or dehumanization but rather more like the danger of children given a tool with more power than they can safely wield.

Well said about political discourse and the Nazi/fascist references lately that are really reckless of people to use IMO. Also, no question more finger pointing and anger brewing around LA right now (I’m in West LA so more attuned to Pali but same goes for Altadena).
Thank you. I can’t imagine how hard things have been and how angry people are going to get. It’s very bad. I’ve been watching interviews of people in the Asheville, NC community and they are still without roads in many places. It’s a different calamity but it has been very bad for them as well.
Yea seems like people in Asheville were forgotten too quickly. If true I read that FEMA was ordered to reallocate some more $ to them by El Presidente after he visited last Friday. Good if factual.
I think Bass is DOA 1 term wonder no question. She comes out of this looking awful. Not only did she announce when running that she would not leave the country while mayor but she took off to Ghana AFTER the red flag warning was isssued and potential for some kind of fire predicted. She failed the test miserably let alone her own fire chief called her out in the middle of it all. At county and state level; who knows. This state is so whacky when it comes to electing a governor that I wouldn’t bet $$ on a major change next go round. The big question locally is if Caruso will run for mayor (this time he would win). Apparently some were trying to talk him into running for governor or before the fires but, again, that could be a stretch in CA since voters in NorCal and other parts don’t know him and he’s not liberal enough for a big % of voters IMO (he basically ran as Dem for mayor since he knew he had zero prayer to win as GOP in this city). The tougher on crime DA who was just elected ran as an Ind but he’s a Republican (I know his brother, small world) for same reason.
