Oyyyy, fear, expectations, attachment, control or lack thereof are big topics in my world too. Well said 👏

Thanks for reading, Chris. I can imagine it's double for those who run their own businesses. Take it easy on yourself.

I'm so sorry to read about your friend, Autumn. It sounds as if you've been a comfort to him at a devastating time and that is beautiful. I can definitely relate to the chart you shared. I'm a proponent of trying to let go of the things I can't control so that I don't circle the drain too much. And thank you for saying such sweet things about me. I'm in awe of your writing talent and all you manage to accomplish, including your very demanding full-time job! If I had to organize an event for 10,000 people, I'd run screaming from the building. It's truly an honor to chat with you about the creative process.

I'd offer up that acceptance also means self acceptance --warts and all. And that it's okay to have attachments, more importantly to realize we have attachments. All of us. Understanding our attachments allows us the grace to grieve and process. I love the concept of impermanence, it has shown up in a lot of my work. "This too shall pass," is also a reminder of attachment. I'm grateful for all my attachments and the sadness that will come when they are no longer there.

I love this. Yes, life without attachments is not a very connected experience or well lived life, I think. Thank you, Terri.
